2017-2018 Provider Agreement Renewal Reminder

A friendly reminder that the 2017-2018 DPP Provider Renewal process is open. To continue participating in DPP during the 2017–2018 school year (September - August), all schools must provide us with updated information, verify they’ll continue serving DPP students and sign next year’s provider agreement. The deadline to renew participation is July 1, 2017.  Login to ecConnect to begin the process.

If you’d like a copy of the agreement for your records, the 2017-2018 provider agreement can be downloaded here: EnglishSpanish and next year’s increased tuition credit scale can be viewed here.

Please contact Chris at chris@dpp.org if you have any questions.

DPP's Preschool Showcase at the Safe Summer Kickoff and National Night Out

Thank you to the schools who joined us at the Safe  Summer Kickoff on June 3. This was our first time teaming  up with the Southwest Denver Coalition for this event and  it was a lot of fun! Fourteen DPP schools and partners joined the DPP team to create a mini Preschool Showcase.

We will be doing a similar event, again in the Southwest, called National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1 at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye out for an email with more information on how you can participate. With your help, we can reach more families in this community and give more 4-year-olds the opportunity to attend preschool.

Preschool Partner Spotlight

DPP has created the Preschool Partner Spotlight to honor  the hard work done by our preschool teachers and  administrators. Through the nomination process by our  coaches, we were delighted to hear all of the wonderful things that are taking place in DPP classrooms.

This month’s spotlight is Daddy Mom Daycare, a Southwest child care center co-owned by siblings Jeremy Gonzales and Jon Blizz.

Since the start of Colorado Shines, Daddy Mom Daycare has placed a large focus on workforce qualifications. All lead teachers have obtained a CDA and the school has used DPP funds to attend the Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference. They also used some of their DPP funding to choose a curriculum, spending a lot of time researching and planning which one would be the best fit for their classrooms.

Daddy Mom has been using some of their coaching hours to talk about how to get to a Level 4 or 5 on their next rating and are currently studying next steps to get there.

10th Birthday Celebration

DPP has hit a milestone and we are excited  to celebrate with you. Join us September 14  from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Denver  Museum of Nature and Science for an  evening to honor the work and passion of  those who helped DPP get to where it is  today. We will have food, drinks,  entertainment and awards. Be on the  lookout for the formal invitation to arrive in  your mailboxes later this summer. Please  click here to view the Save the Date.

Enrollment Incentives Program (Denver County Providers Only)

We are excited to announce that the Denver Preschool  Program has launched an Enrollment Incentive Program  called $20 for 20 Minutes. The program is designed to  help preschools like you 1) engage more parents 2) enroll  more children and 3) earn more funds to enhance the  quality of your early childhood education program.

It’s simple: For every Denver family with a 4-year-old enrolled in your program that is approved to receive tuition support from the Denver Preschool Program for the 2017-2018 school year by October 1, 2017, you’ll receive a check from DPP in the amount of $20 for quality improvements. It only takes 20 minutes for parents to complete and submit an application.

You should have received a packet of materials from us in the mail that has all you need to promote DPP to the families of your 4-year-olds.  Included in the packet are:

Give us a call if you have questions and remember, we’re always available to come to your school for a Sign Up Social.  Contact Tricia Nelson at tricia@dpp.org or 720.287.5055 x180 for more information.

Please note: Only DPP schools located in Denver County are eligible for the Enrollment Incentive Program
