Dr. Marina M. Mendoza joined DPP from Clayton Early Learning where she assessed data capacity needs in the ECE community and led the Clayton Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Evaluation Study. She is a former Executive Branch Policy Fellow who was placed at the U.S. Department of Justice, National Institute of Justice. In Washington, D.C., her work centered on exposure to violence and victimization across the lifespan. Marina received her Ph.D. from the University of Denver in developmental psychology with a specialty in developmental cognitive neuroscience. She was a recipient of the Administration for Children and Families Child Care Research Scholars Grant and focused on how stress in low-income Latino families affects attendance in Early Head Start programs.
