Hispanic Heritage Month is a special time each year, running from September 15 to October 15, to honor and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latine communities. Families from Central and South America, Mexico, Spain and the Caribbean have shaped our nation’s history, and Hispanic Heritage Month gives us a chance to celebrate together.

Celebrate at these Upcoming Denver Events for Hispanic Heritage Month 

With festivals, special events, and kid-friendly activities happening there are countless ways to join in the fun for Hispanic Heritage Month. 

Yo Soy: La Loteria Botanica | September 13-October 15 | Denver Botanic Gardens – York Street

ヒスパニック系文化遺産月間を通して展示される、 this stunning exhibit features original artwork inspired by plants and botanicals and their connection to food, history and community. Inspired by the traditional Mexican card game Loteria, the colorful cards highlight plants of the Southwest and the important role they play in the region’s culture. The exhibit is included with regular daily admission.

Fiestas Patrias Colorado | September 13, 2026 | Mile High Flea Market

Bringing families and communities together to celebrate Hispanic and Latine culture, music, heritage, cuisine and community, this free, full-day event honors Mexico’s independence from Spain in 1810. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Denver families can enjoy live music and dancing, family-friendly activities and more at this vibrant celebration.

Día de Los Muertos at Urban Farm | October 31, 2026 | The Urban Farm at Stapleton

Denver families are invited to celebrate Día de Los Muertos and honor Hispanic heritage at this family-friendly event centered on culture, community and remembrance. Families can enjoy face painting, sugar skull decorating, a petting zoo, authentic sweets and treats and more. The event takes place from 1-5 p.m., with admission priced at $5 for children and $10 for adults.
