Denver Preschool Program (DPP) is excited to share that families now have an improved experience when applying for tuition support, searching for preschool providers, and saving on preschool costs. The updated application offers a more user-friendly and mobile-friendly platform that makes the process smoother from start to finish.
Here’s what’s new:
- One application, less hassle: Families now only need to complete a single application, not one per school year. The application will save within each user’s profile, making it easier to access and update every year.
- Easier to use, anywhere: The application is optimized for mobile. It’s easier to pause in the application and return to it later. Families can also see what amount of tuition credits they are eligible for sooner in the application process.
- Detailed provider search: Each preschool provider now has their own homepage where families can learn more about them and what makes their preschool unique. Like before, families can also access providers’ contact information and reach out to them directly.
- Real-time openings: The biggest and most exciting change is that families will be able to see how many openings are available at each provider! Providers will update their vacancy data monthly to keep information as current as possible. Providers with the most updated information are at the top of searches, and provider information that is older than 90 days will not be included in the search–this ensures families get the most current, updated information about openings.
How to Save On Preschool Costs: Apply for Colorado UPK and DPP Tuition Support
The application for Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK) is separate from that of Denver Preschool Program. But the great news is that Denver families can benefit from both to lower your preschool costs!
Colorado UPK is a state-run program that provides 15 hours of high-quality preschool to children the year before kindergarten. To apply for Colorado UPK for the 2025-2026 school year, first find a preschool that works best for your family by using the DPP Find a Preschool Tool. Then, apply for UPK, accept your match, enroll in the preschool, and finally apply for tuition credits from Denver Preschool Program. For more information on this process for the current school year, read our blog posts: “저는 여전히 유니버설 유치원 콜로라도와 덴버 유치원 프로그램 수업료 지원을 신청할 수 있나요?” and “How to Change Preschools and Still Benefit from UPK Colorado.”
We know the preschool application process can feel complex. Denver Preschool Program is focused on continually improving our systems to make finding and applying for preschool even easier for Denver families. We hope this change makes the process simpler, clearer, and more efficient for families looking for the best school for their little learner.
