Only submit a tuition credit application if your 4-year-old has been accepted to a Denver Preschool Program (DPP) participating preschool program outside of Denver Public Schools (DPS). Denver families who enroll their 4-year-old in a DPS preschool program must sign up for DPP tuition support through the SchoolChoice Application. Undecided? Find a preschool
Any attendance for December must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on January 20 in order to be eligible for tuition credit reimbursement for the month. Attendance not submitted by this time will result in forfeiture of the associated funds as DPP will be closing its financial books for 2017.
Our user-friendly Attendance Reporting Form can be found by clicking here for a Word version and here for an Excel version. Completed attendance forms should be submitted to:
Denver Preschool Program
P.O. Box 40037
Denver, CO 80204-0037
If you are having trouble with attendance forms or have any questions; our enrollment team is here to help! You can reach them Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 303.595.4377 or email anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The entire DPP team – Jennifer, Ellen, Chris and Tricia - would like to wish you all a wonderful holiday season. Your support is what makes all of DPP’s accomplishments possible – thank you for your partnership, your passion and all of your hard work on behalf of Denver’s youngest learners.
Here’s to a happy and healthy start to the new year!
This year’s Showcase will be held in central Denver at the Dahlia Campus for Health & Well-being on January 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. At the Showcase, DPP schools can:
-Introduce your school to prospective families at Denver’s premier event for families with preschoolers
-Take advantage of FREE MARKETING – all DPP preschools are eligible for a booth at no charge
-Have opportunities to network with other early childhood programs
-Gain access to fun giveaways, free food and a chance to win the grand prize!
Although spaces are now full for this year’s January Showcase, we will be offering 3-4 additional “mini-Showcases” in various neighborhoods throughout 2018. If you are interested in participating in a 2018 mini-Showcase, please complete this brief form to let us know the timing and region of Denver that would work best for your school and we will reach out as dates and locations are set.
It’s that time again! One Book 4 Colorado (OB4CO), started in 2012, gives away over 75,000 copies of the same book to each 4-year-old in the state. Voting is officially open to help choose the upcoming 2018 OB4CO story. We encourage you to share these videos of familiar faces reading the three nominated books with your preschoolers and have them vote on their favorite. Voting will be open through the end of the year, with the winning book announced on April 9, 2018.
Similar to years past, through our partnership with OB4CO each of your preschoolers will receive their own copy of the winning book! They will be given out to every child who is in a DPP classroom (whether or not they are enrolled in DPP). So that we can order books for your site, please email Tricia at email@example.com by January 5 with:
1) How many DPP classrooms you have
2) How many total children are in those classrooms
3) If we got a book for every one of those children, how many books you would like in English and how many would you like in Spanish
We are halfway through our 2017-2018 Forum series! Thank you to everyone who attended the first and/or second session on November 4 and December 2 where we have been delighted on the participation from attendees in learning more about intentional, thoughtful family engagement.
We have another great morning planned for part three of the series on Saturday, Feb. 24: Communication Practices That Build Family Capacity. Please click here to register. We welcome new attendees that could not make it to the first two Forum sessions.
The rest of this year’s Forum series will focus on implementing two-way communication between schools and families, and individualizing family engagement to the unique cultural and linguistic needs of each family. The upcoming training dates and titles are:
Saturday, Feb. 24: Communication Practices that Build Family Capacity
Saturday, April 14: Differentiating Family Support: Equitable Strategies to Meet the Needs of All Families
