COVID 19 – Federal and State Supports for Small Businesses

With Federal and State supports being put into place to help small businesses, we want to make sure you are able to take advantage of any of these resources you may qualify for, including the funds below:

COVID-19 Colorado Relief Fund Accepting Applications

The purpose of this fund is to raise and coordinate allocation of funds based on prevention, impact and recovery needs of community-based organizations in Colorado. This Fund is organized to ensure that the most acute community needs across the state are being addressed and that community voice is reflected in all funding decisions made over time.

Through this Fund, eligible community-based organizations across Colorado may receive a general operating grant of up to $25,000. You can visit www.helpcoloradonow.org for more information and apply now.

Grants Available to Support Coronavirus Response

If you’re feeding children and families affected by the coronavirus, Share Our Strength is here to help. Schools and workplaces are closing nationwide due to coronavirus. Vulnerable children are losing the school meals they depend on, and low-income families are struggling with lost wages. We’re offering emergency grants to support local school districts and nonprofit organizations in their efforts to ensure kids get the nutritious food they need. Please complete a brief information form, and our grants team be in touch with instructions if your organization is eligible for funding

Payment Protection Program

Additional financial help might be available to you through the Paycheck Protection Program. Small businesses can begin working with their lenders to submit loan applications for the federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). PPP is part of the federal CARES Act enacted at the end of March. It provides potentially forgivable loans in amounts to cover 2.5 months of payroll or $10 million (whichever is less).

Women and Families of CO Relief Fund

The Women’s Foundation of Colorado has created a Women and Families of CO Relief fund, with the purpose of rapidly and responsively distributing general operating grants to nonprofits who work with women and families. The grants are meant to enhance the capacity of organizations responding to a variety of critical needs, including child care. To learn more and apply, please review the RFP. The application deadline is Tuesday, April 14 at 5:00 p.m.
