DPP’s expanded enrollment incentive  program is in full swing.  For the 2019-2020 school year, each Denver County DPP community- or home-based program will receive $40 for every DPP eligible child enrolled in their program and approved to receive tuition support by October 1, 2019.  You are free to choose how you want to use these dollars—classroom materials, staff bonuses, professional development—however you see fit.

Please share these materials with your families to encourage them to sign up early:

A Few Spaces Are Still Available for DPP’s Neighborhood Showcases in SE and FNE Denver

Thank you to the many schools who joined us at the Safe Summer Kickoff on National Get Outdoors Day on June 6 for our first neighborhood Showcase of the summer. If you still have preschool slots to fill for the upcoming school year, we are offering additional neighborhood Showcases in southeast Denver on Saturday, Aug. 24 and in far northeast Denver on Saturday, Sept. 14.

We will be providing food and drinks, as well as paying you for your time to attend. If you are interested in attending one of the upcoming Showcases, please contact Tricia Nelson at tricia@dpp.org. With your help, we can reach more families in our community and give more 4-year-olds the opportunity to attend preschool!

It’s not too late to sign up for the Gap Scholarship Pilot!

If you are still interested in joining the new Gap Scholarship Program Pilot that will provide additional tuition support for families, we still have spots available. This opportunity is available to both Denver County and non-Denver County community providers.

The DPP Gap Scholarship will support:

  • Full- or extended-day students at DPP Community Providers participating in the Gap Scholarship Pilot who do not receive other public preschool funds (Head Start, CPP/ECARE or CCCAP). A quick clarification: While we support providers having some students receiving these other public funds along with DPP, Gap Scholarship recipients cannot be receiving any other public funds.
  • Families living at or below 300 percent of the federal poverty line (DPP Tiers 1, 2 and some Tier 3) who pay more than 12 percent of their income to preschool tuition after the DPP Tuition Credit
