Gap Scholarship Program Pilot – Additional Tuition Support for Families

As we continue to develop the policies and procedures for the Gap Scholarship, we invite you to sign-up to learn more participating in the Gap Scholarship pilot. We’re excited about this opportunity to provide more tuition support to families who need it most!

The pilot might be a good fit for you if:

– You are willing to participate in the evaluation of the pilot and complete monthly reports for DPP.

– You serve DPP Income Tier 1, 2 and/or 3 families  who do not receive public preschool specific tuition support funds for full or extended day programming (Gap Scholarship recipients cannot receive Head Start, CPP, CCCAP, ECARE or Mill Levy funds).

Please email Angeles Ross, angeles@dpp.org with any questions or to express your interest in joining the pilot. Your email must be received no later than June 3, 2019 to be considered.

Do you have vacancies in your classrooms? We may be able to help!

We partnered with Mile High United Way’s 2-1-1 to launch an enrollment specialists model connecting families looking for preschool with DPP providers. Our greatest barrier is knowing which DPP providers have space available for new enrollees. To better serve our families, the enrollment specialists a list of vacancies and hope to keep it up-to-date with your help. If you have vacancies you’re looking to fill, please email enroll@dpp.org.

DPP is Doubling Down on Enrollment Incentives!

We’re excited to announce that DPP will be doubling the $20 for 20 enrollment incentive for the 2019-2020 school year and will now be offering $40 per DPP-enrolled child by October 1 of this year.

That means, for every Denver family with a 4-year-old enrolled in Denver County DPP programs that is approved to receive tuition support from the Denver Preschool Program for the 2019-2020 school year by October 1, 2019, your school will receive a check from DPP for $40 per child. You are free to choose how you want to use these dollars—classroom materials, staff bonuses, professional development—however you see fit!

You should have received an email with the following information to share with your families:

-A letter explaining the incentive

-A digital DPP application

-A poster to promote the incentive

We’d like to help you get your families signed up early so that you can benefit from these extra funds. Please fill out this form to let us know if you would like a DPP representative to come to your school for a graduation, end-of-year picnic or other parent event to assist families with the application process and address any questions they may have.

Please note: Only DPP community- or home-based schools located in Denver County are eligible for the Enrollment Incentive Program
