Share The Power of Preschool – Spread the Word!
Receive a $20 gift card as a thank you!
As members of the Denver Preschool Program family, we need your help to spread the word about how easy it is to apply for tuition credits from DPP.
- Start by telling anyone you know who lives in Denver with a preschool-aged child that they could be saving money on preschool costs though the Denver Preschool Program.
- If they haven’t yet applied for DPP tuition support, refer them to apply.dpp.org to start an application.
- Tell them to list your name in the referral box. The application must be approved in order for the person listed as a referral to receive the $20 gift card.

EQUITY CORNER
Like Black History month in February, Women’s History Month in March, and LGBTQIA+ Pride throughout June, National Hispanic Heritage Month educates, celebrates, and honors the contributions of an often underrepresented and marginalized group. Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15-October 15, honors Hispanic Americans by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Here are several free, online resources to celebrate Hispanic heritage all year long:
- A video that summarizes the origin, purpose, and many ways Americans recognize Hispanic Heritage Month, part of PBS KIDS’ All About The Holidays series (available in English and Spanish).
- A list of recommended picture books that celebrate Latino voices and culture.
- Recipes from Puerto Rico, including Mofongo and frozen treat Piragua.
Hispanic Heritage Month allows every child to explore the diversity within the Hispanic population and the significance of past and present Hispanic influences on our society.
