Don’t forget that tuition credits are available to DPP-eligible families through August 2019. This means you can keep your child engaged in learning this summer and prevent summer learning loss, so they will be ready to start kindergarten strong.
Even if your current preschool does not offer classes in the summer, a variety of community-based preschools do.
If your school remains open through the summer: If you are already signed up for DPP, you will automatically continue to receive tuition credits through August. No action is necessary.
If your school is closed in the summer months: If you are already signed up for DPP, you may be able to enroll your child in a summer program at one of our community-based preschool providers and still receive your DPP tuition credits to continue to save money throughout the summer. Summer spaces are limited, so act quickly!
To find DPP-participating preschools that offer summer programs, use our “Find a Preschool” tool. From there, change the “Summer Hours” drop-down menu to “Yes,” which will show the providers that offer summer care. You can also call us at 303-595-4DPP (4377) for assistance.
Once you have found a community-based preschool that interests you, contact the school directly to make sure they have an opening in their summer program. Tuition credit amounts and tuition prices for summer enrollment may vary from your current school, so feel free to contact us to find out what your updated DPP tuition credit would be for the summer months, or use our online tuition credit calculator.
If you are not currently signed up for DPP: We accept tuition support applications year-round, so it’s not too late to save money on summer preschool tuition. All families living within the City and County of Denver with a 4-year-old enrolled in a participating preschool program in the year before kindergarten can apply to receive support.
